The Story Behind the Song

Broken Walls

Broken Walls is the story of two people from completely different worlds who find themselves drawn to each other.

He is a reggae guy—his world is island music, rhythm, and Caribbean culture. She is a Spanish girl, raised around merengue, bachata, and reggaeton. They don't speak the same language, and at first, neither one really knows how to enter the other's world.

But the attraction between them doesn't need a translation.

He sees something in her immediately and wants more than just a passing moment. He's fascinated by her beauty, her mind, her energy, and the way she moves. She feels the attraction too, but she's hesitant. She's not sure she's ready for everything he's bringing into her life.

That's when she gives him a challenge.

He doesn't have to speak Spanish. He doesn't have to come from where she comes from. If he really wants to get close to her, he just has to show her that he can follow her rhythm.

“Muéstrame cómo es que tú bailas,
para ver si tú me aguantas.”

Show me how you dance, and I'll see if you can keep up with me.

So she takes him into her world through merengue, bachata, and reggaeton. He brings his own reggae rhythm with him. Somewhere between the two cultures, the language barrier disappears.

For that night, they don't need words.

They dance.

And as the night gets hotter, so does the dance. What started as a playful challenge slowly becomes something more intimate. They move closer, the music gets slower, and the attraction they've been fighting becomes impossible to hide.

Song after song, dance after dance, the two worlds that seemed so different at the beginning of the night begin to feel like one.

They don't notice the hours passing. They don't need to speak the same language anymore. The music has become their language, and the dance says everything they couldn't say with words.

Until finally, the music fades, the night disappears, and the sun begins to come up.

The walls between them are gone.

Lyrics

Verse 1:

Girl you know me want a life with you

Excited just to see the sight of you

I love it when you scream and shout my name

And I can see the light behind your moon

Pre-Hook:

Girl me love your body, love your mind,?me love your patience

Let me get your time and never waste it

Like a drug inside my head, intoxication

Then let me rock your body like a celebration

Hook:

Ay se que no

Que tu no estás

No esta ready para todo esto

Muéstrame como es que tú bailas

Para ver si tú me aguantas

Baila merengue, bachata y reggaeton

No tiene que hablarme en español

Muéstrame como es que tú bailas

Para ver si tú me aguantas

Verse 2:

Girl I know you're bad for me, it's true

But I feel something between us too

I hate to spend that night without your love

I wanna spend my days inside of you

Pre-Hook:

Girl me love your body, love your mind, me love your patience

Let me get your time and never waste it

Like a drug inside my head, intoxication

Then let me rock your body like a celebration

Hook:

Ay se que no

Que tu no estás

No esta ready para todo esto

Muéstrame como es que tú bailas

Para ver si tú me aguantas

Baila merengue, bachata y reggaeton

No tiene que hablarme en español

Muéstrame como es que tú bailas

Para ver si tú me aguantas

Pre-Hook 2:

Ya me love to see excitement in your face when we meet

Everything you do fulfills me fantasy

Love it when your close you have to stay out of my reach

Love you every second every day of the week

Hook:

Ay se que no

Que tu no estás

No esta ready para todo esto

Muéstrame como es que tú bailas

Para ver si tú me aguantas

Baila merengue, bachata y reggaeton
